JBF4101-Ex

Smoke Detector
Product Features
•   Embedded intelligent MCU inside for field data collection and analysis.
•   Adjustable sensitivity levels, meeting customers' need for different working environment.
•   Automatically dust-compensation mechanism; the detector calibrates pollution degree and carries out background-valuedrift, to prevent false alarm report.
•   Detect a variety of fires, sensitive to both white and black smokes.
•   Robust design for HW filter; prevent electromagnetic interference.
•   Strong resistance to corrosion, critical environmental (heat and humidity) and light outside.

Structure and Dimensions

JBF4101-EX explosion-proof smoke detector is matched with JBF-VB4301B detector base.

Wiring
1) Fix the base on the wall (JBF-VB4302A base).
2) Connect the wires from panel to the terminals L1& L2. It's polarity-free.Connect DC24V+ to terminal 24V& 24V- to G.
3) Burn ID to the detector and then mount it to the base;tighten it clockwise.

Precautions
Use specialized encoder to write address(1-200) to the detector before installation.
Installation shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB 3836.15-2010 “Electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres - Part 15: Electrical installations in hazardous areas (other than mines)” by professionals.
It must be equipped with safety barrier. Safety barrier should be installed outside the explosion-proof area. Attention should be paid to the polarity of the cables.
The number of the explosion-proof smoke detectors behind each safety barrier shall not exceed 10, and the number of safety barrier used in each alarm loop shall not exceed 6.
Note that the terminals of the safety barrier incoming ends must be distinguished between positive and negative polarity, otherwise it will not work properly.
If there are more than one safety barrier in one loop, they must be connected in parallel at the input end. Serial connection is prohibited.
Static electricity danger. When cleaning, the device must be wiped with damp cloth.

The intrinsic safety system parameter matching must follow the following principles:Uo ≤ Ui;Io ≤ Ii;Po ≤ Pi;Cc ≤ Co-Ci;Lc ≤ Lo-Li
The detailed meaning of the symbol can be found in GB 3836.4-2010 standard.
Lc: maximum allowed cable (or wire) distribution capacitance and inductor between the safety barrier and the detector.
Uo: maximum output voltage of the safety barrier.
Io: maximum output current of the safety barrier.
Po: maximum output power of the safety barrier.
Lo: maximum external inductor allowed by the safety barrier.
Co: maximum external capacitor allowed by safety barrier.
Ui: maximum input voltage of the detector.
Ii: maximum input current of the detector.
Pi: maximum input power of the detector.
Li: maximum internal inductor of the detector.
Ci: maximum internal capacitance of the detector.
