JBF6189-DW

Independent Electrical Fire Detector

JBF6189-DW is a 4 loop independent electrical fire monitoring detector with expandable communication function. When the residual current in the protected line reaches the alarm value or the temperature reaches the alarm value, the detector sends out alarm signal within seconds, which effectively guarantees the safe use of electricity and prevents electrical fire. The detector can be widely used in places containing hazardous articles, high-rise buildings, public places and power supply system of residential buildings. The product is in compliance with GB 14287.2-2014 “Electrical Fire Monitoring System part 2: Residual current electrical fire monitoring detectors”, and GB 14287.3-2014 “Electrical Fire Monitoring System" part 3: Temperature sensing electrical fire monitoring detectors.”

Product Features
1) The detector can connect 4 loops of sensors. The type of sensor of each loop can be selected from residual current transformer, temperature sensor and current transformer according to the field needs.
2) The detector is equipped with a LCD screen and operative buttons, and can give out visual and sound alarm. It can view and set sensor type, alarm threshold, and address of connected sensors on each loop. Its monitoring function can check online status and real-time detected value of all connected residual current transformers, temperature sensors and current transformers. The detector can also perform self-test.
3) When connect residual current transformer, the alarm threshold can be set within range 200mA~1000mA, and the step 1mA. The default alarm setting value is 500mA. When connect temperature sensor, the alarm threshold can be set within range 55℃ ~ 140℃, the step 1 ℃, the default alarm value 85℃
4) The sensor type and alarm threshold of each loop of the detector can be set by the control panel or the detector
5) The detector has alarm relays and fault relays.
6) The detector reserves communication extension port.

Structure and Dimensions

Wiring
JBF6189 the series detectors are installed in two ways, namely, cabinet door mounting and rail mounting:
When mounting on a cabinet door: first remove the retention clips on both sides of the detector, mount the detector to the cabinet door, and then reinstall the retention clip to both sides of the detector to ensure that the detector is securely mounted on the cabinet door. Finally, wire the sensor signal loop, communication line, power cord and others to the detector.
When mounting with a guide rail: first connect the sensor signal loop, communication line, and power cord to the detector, and then install the detector to the 35mm standard rail.

The terminal wiring of the detector is shown in the following figure:

L, N: power wiring terminals (AC 220V, 50Hz/DC24V). Remove the screws of the protective bezel when wiring, and after the wiring is finished, reinstall the protective bezel. Tighten the screws to prevent electric shock.
1~4: detector sensor terminals. Each number includes 2 terminals. The 1~4 correspond to the 1~4 monitored loops respectively.
L1, L2: bus loop terminals, L1 and L2 each includes 2 terminals, providing better wiring when the detector is used in network and needs more wiring.
FIRE: alarm relay output, usually open, close under alarm condition.
FAULT: fault relay output, usually open, close under fault condition.
TX, RX, GND: reserved extended communication terminals, TX for sending, RX to receiving, GND for grounding.

Precautions
Strong and weak wires should be separated, and no crossover of wires. It is strictly forbidden to lay the cable in the same metal tube with power lines, lighting lines, video lines, broadcast lines, or telephone lines, etc. Wiring should be neat, and wires should be tied into bundles. Flame-retardant PVC pipe, metal pipe and metal wire groove can be used for threading. If used, the trough mouth should be blocked after threading.
